Opening Albert Dolmans Art Academy: 1 October
Rotterdam community comes together to honour an artist’s legacy and inspire the next generation.
On 1 October 2026, Nord Anglia International School Rotterdam will officially open the Albert Dolmans Art Academy, a new dedicated space for creativity, artistic exploration, and visual arts education. We warmly invite families, artists, neighbours, and members of Rotterdam’s creative community to join us for this special occasion.
The academy has been established in honour of the late Albert Dolmans, the Dutch-American painter whose colourful works and community spirit left a lasting impression on Rotterdam and beyond. A long-time resident of Hillegersberg, Albert believed in the power of art to connect people, inspire conversation, and enrich lives.
It is with gratitude to the WK Gordon Foundation, whose donation has helped make this new academy possible. We are also honoured to display four original paintings generously donated by Albert’s partner, Sheila Gazaleh, allowing visitors to experience a personal connection to the artist’s life and work.
Join us for the Grand Opening of the Albert Dolmans Art Academy!
